Three Maoists, who were arrested by the Koraput police during combing operation on Tuesday under the Narayanpatna police limits, were produced at a Press conference held by DIG of Police (SW Range) SS Debdatta Singh on Wednesday at Koraput.
The Maoists were identified as Relin Mandangi (24), Uje Sirika (35) of Panabadi village and Tulsa alias Sunita Sirika of Musalmunda village under the Narayanpatna police limits. They belong to the Jana Natya Mandali group of the CPI (Maoist) central committee, the police said. The police also seized a country gun, five pairs of Ghungur (used in dance), 15 meters of service wire, 15 meters of aluminum wire, a camera, two mobile phones, Maoist literature and CMAS literature, DIG Singh informed. The DIG said that during observation of the third day of the PLGA Week by the Maoists, the Jana Natya Dalam was engaged on a membership drive. On intelligence input, the police raided the venue at Panabadi village. Over 100 Maoists supporters, who were in the congregation, fled the spot seeing the police. The local police and CRPF Jawans, however, caught hold of the three ultras, he informed.
The arrested had indulged in many Maoists activities and would be forwarded to court on Wednesday, the DIG said. The accused Sunita is the main office bearer of the Jana Natya Mandali of Andhra-Odisha Border State Zonal Committee, police sources said. However, CMAS chief Nachika Linga, AOBZC secretary Daya, hard core lady Maoist Aruna, including the Maoist supporters Lasu Wateka, Dambu Nachika, Utara Nachika, Gita Tadingi and Shanti Mandinga, who were enlisted in police warrant could managed  to flee the spot during the raid, sources said
